IFRS Workshop
and Regional Conferrence held by Faridabad Branch |

Dear and respected friends,
It is heartening to apprise that your branch has organised two major programmes
of IFRS and Northern India Regional Conference each having 12
CPE hours in the last
ten days to further the cause of professional development and enhancement of the
knowledge of our beloved members and students.
Truly speaking we are finding it very difficult to express our heartful of thanks
and deep gratitude for the
unprecedented participation by the members of our fraternity
and our dear students in the NIRC conference recently held at MRIU Auditorium Faridabad.
Friends, it will certainly motivate our entire team of Executive members inspire
us to achieve greater heights in the future and we all are committed for that.
In IFRS workshop held on 21st and 22nd August of 2010 at Hotel Delite Faridabad
participation of the members was very encouraging and all participants were highly
benefited by the deliberations delivered by the eminent faculties
provided by ICAI.
Likewise, the auditorium of MRIU was jam packed in Regional Conference which was
inaugurated by Chief Guest Hon'ble Sh. Mahender Pratap Singh, Cabinet Minister Govt. of Haryana. In his inaugural address to the audience he spoke at length right from the pass percentage of CA Exam to the basic principles of life like Karma &
Moksha. He announced the contribution of Rs. 5.00 Lacs for the Faridabad Branch
Building out of his Discretionary Quota and further declared that the road leading
towards branch building will be made new and named as ICAI Road. A Souvenir was
also released by the Hon’ble Chief Guest on this special occasion.
Our Central Council members CA Vinod Jain, CA Sanjay Agarwal, CA Pankaj Tyagi, CA
Naveen N.D. Gupta and CA Rajinder Kumar P. were also present in the conference and
expressed their views. Dr. Girish Ahuja ji, an eminent speaker of national fame
very lucidly explained the various provisions of Income Tax Act and DTC. Sh. Alok
Mittal, IPS and Joint Commissioner of Police Gurgaon also addressed the gathering
on "Road safety measures" to prevent road accidents and the participants were administered
oath to obey the rules of the road and driving.
Friends, we are quite mindful of the fact that the road of improvement is never
ending but the words of encouragement and positive comments given by the CC members,
NIRC office bearers and other members and students are the real asset to us and
will surely go a long way to boost the moral of our all executive members and office
bearers in our future endeavours.
We will look forward for your valuable suggestions and guidance please. Wishing

Welcome to Faridabad branch of NIRC of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) was setup by the Parliament
of India on 1st July 1949. The main purpose of ICAI is to regulate the profession
of Chartered Accountancy and impart education. Activities of the ICAI extend to
research in varied financial fields and setting standards of accounting and auditing
to be followed by Industry. The profession of Chartered Accountancy is recognized
world over not only in fields of accountancy and auditing but in taxation, financial
management, business consultancy, system development and so on. ICAI provides quality
education and finest practical exposure to its students through its study modules,
competitive examination and rigorous training programs maintaining the old Guru
– Shishya Parampara. It is the only self financing professional education course,
therefore, within reach of rich and poor.

Respected members and Dear students,
I express my deep thanks and gratitude to Almighty and all my fellow colleagues
for providing me an opportunity to serve the cause of our esteemed profession.

Further, I do appreciate the dedication and efforts of our immediate past Chairmen
& their teams for setting very high benchmarks of sincere service to our noble
profession.
The members of our great Institute merit for being complimented that our ICAI has
achieved the distinction of becoming the second largest accounting body and attaining
the name & fame of world class institution. Presently we have got a greater
role in the pursuit of national building. Our Indian economy is guided by knowledge
based professional expertise and it is high time to hone our professional competencies
to keep us pioneer in these testing times. Besides, various new significant enactments
such as Direct Tax Code, GST etc and IFRS are to be implemented in the very near
future and I am confident that our members and students will certainly enrich their
knowledge by adapting themselves according to the ever changing environment
I on behalf of our Team assure you that we will make all sincere efforts to serve
the students, members and our profession to take the Faridabad Branch to newer heights.
